Salaam, Hello, Namaste, Bonjour, Ni Hao, and Guten Tag!

*This* has been a long time coming… a good couple of years overdue, to be somewhat exact. Oh well. So what’s this site all about? Well it’ll probably be easier for me explain by starting with what this site is NOT about.

This site is not going be

• a diary on my life… my friends… my work… the life of my friends at work or any other combination of the prior three topics.
• a news / gossip / community site.
• daily.

Now, for those of you still reading at this point… this site will, for the most part, be Dubai / UAE centric. There’s a lot of quirkiness (is that even a word?) around this part of the world; from cultural sensitivities to inane laws to words getting lost in translation… all of which will make for some pretty funny posts, I guarantee! Next, most of the content on this site will be photography / illustration driven and part of the reason for that is for me to get off my lazy ass and do more of it. Though it remains to be seen if that strategy works out. What else can you expect? There’ll be some regular weekly posts, Friday Faux Pas, Media Miscues, Hidden Gems, Photoslops, some rantings and definitely some ramblings….
